Jane E. Canepa, Founder & President
Jane E. Canepa is the president and founder of The Eventors, Inc. (founded in 1976). Jane began her career in Chicago at Carson Pirie Scott & Co. where she coordinated international special events and public relations for the flagship State Street store and 16 suburban branch locations. The Eventors have had international and national clients including 15 years as the U.S. marketing, public relations, promotions, advertising and sales agency for Hilda Ltd., a woolen goods manufacturer based in Reykjavik, Iceland. Jane is known for her promotion of participatory sporting events held across the United States and in Europe including the JP Morgan Chase Corporate Challenge, the Chicago Great Pink Run, the Bank of America Chicago Marathon and Shamrock Shuffle, the Chicago Triathlon and the Jim Gibbons 5K Run & Walk for the Leukemia Research Foundation. Jane has worked closely with the Mayor’s Office of Special Events and the Chicago Park District and spearheaded the creation of the Mayor’s Office of Special Events Sports Council. She has been an adjunct faculty member at Columbia College for 28 years, and is also a former president of the Publicity Club of Chicago and a lifetime member.
Nicole Gotthelf, Senior Vice President of Strategy
Nicole Gotthelf has over 30 years of non-profit leadership experience in organizations furthering the missions of social change, economic justice, international development, and arts and culture. Currently, she is the President of Nicole Gotthelf & Associates. As a consultant, Nicole has worked with both international and US clients. She has taught non-profit management practices, strategic communications, fundraising techniques, event management, and proposal writing techniques. Previously, she served as the Director of Development and Membership for the Jazz Institute of Chicago. Nicole has also worked as Director of Institutional Advancement at the Center for Neighborhood Technology (CNT), Director of Development for the Garfield Park Conservatory Alliance, Major Gifts Officer for the American Friends Service Committee, and Executive Director of Community Shares of Wisconsin. She also worked at WORT-FM Radio in Madison, WI for ten years, including serving as Producer of a morning talk show. Nicole was elected and served on the City of Madison Common Council for eight years.
Rozana Audisho, Director of Special Events
Rozana Audisho’s innovative ability to harness the power of marketing and public relations to increase the bottom line has made her a sought-after marketing expert. Equipped with 15 years of experience building public relations/marketing campaigns and managing special events, Rozana has developed a vast professional network. She has been working at The Eventors, Inc. serving as the Director of Special Events for over ten years. Her duties include coordinating special events and public relations campaigns, and providing communications consulting services. Rozana has worked in a wide array of industries including financial services, healthcare, credit union movement, and the Chicago travel industry. In her most recent role, Rozana served as a marketing specialist for Farmers Insurance Group Federal Credit Union, managing the events, marketing campaigns and promotions of 18 credit union branches across the country.
Mariah D. Cater, Project Manager
Mariah Cater has extensive experience planning and executing events, as well as devising social media and communications strategies for non-profits, small businesses and hospitality organizations. As a consultant and project manager, Mariah has worked alongside some high-profile brands like Nike, ComEd, BP, Crain’s Chicago Business, iHeart Media, Powers and Sons Construction and a host of other companies. For the last 9 years, Mariah has offered her exceptional interpersonal communications skills, event coordination expertise, public relations proficiency and social media capabilities to The Eventors, Inc.
Will Gaudet, Media Relations Specialist
Will Gaudet is a Chicago-born PR professional who specializes in PR writing and social media content creation. After graduating from Loyola University Chicago’s School of Communications, Will worked in the publicity department of the renowned Goodman Theatre, maintaining press resources and conducting media relations. From there he went on to an account coordinator position at a PR firm where he worked with prominent Chicago-based clients like the Illinois Lottery, CDOT, the CTA, Ventra and WTTW-TV. Will joined The Eventors team in January 2020, where he has been managing The Eventors’ social media platforms and drafting media relations materials.
Madeleine O’Connell – Social Media Intern
Madeleine O’Connell is a recent graduate of North Central College where she studied broadcast communication and journalism. During her time at NCC, she was social media editor of the radio station, WONC, editor-in-chief of the newspaper, The Chronicle, captain of the dance team and Programming chair of the Cardinal Dance Company. During her time in college, she had several internships with companies such as NCTV17, The Idea Factory, Chicago Buzz Marketing and Natural Awakenings Magazine. Beginning in the fall of 2020, Madeleine will continue her studies at DePaul University to earn a master’s degree in communications.
